Chabad in the Netherlands

Chabad Netherlands is part of the global Jewish movement dedicated to Jewish education, community, and continuity. More than 20 shluchim-couples, based across 13 cities, are part of a worldwide network of over 6,000 shluchim families sent out under the leadership of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson.

In 1964, Rabbi Jitschak Vorst and his wife, Dobbe, were sent to the Netherlands. Rabbi Vorst became a founding figure of Chabad in the country and played an important role in reinvigorating Jewish life in the aftermath of the Holocaust.

Today, Chabad shluchim throughout the Netherlands provide education, community programs, and personal guidance to Jews of all backgrounds, helping strengthen Jewish life and infrastructure across the country.

While many communities serve the local Dutch Jewish population, all Chabad locations also welcome English- and Hebrew-speaking tourists, locals, and expats. Visitors from around the world regularly take part in Chabad programs and events.

Although most of this website is in Dutch, nearly all services and events are also available in English and/or Hebrew.

Please feel free to reach out for more information. We look forward to welcoming you!
